It was a simple Saturday morning back in July when Mark Suplicki, Creative Director and Owner of Jontaar Creative Studios, wanted to get his Kayak. With a little research during the prior week, he found Clintonville Outfitters on the web. For those of you that love the outdoors and into camping, hiking and kayaking, you have to check out this store. It may be a quaint small place in the heart of Clintonville, but it blows away the big brand retail players out there. It has everything you need. Great atmosphere and service.
Meeting with Jonathan Barth and Matt Gibson, the owners, they were very helpful in helping me decide what kayak to choose for the open water I wanted to explore. Something big enough and stable for the ocean. Okay, and the big lakes of Ohio. They set me up with a sleek Hurricane Tampico, versatile vest and paddle, and even installed the Thule rack system on the truck right outside the store. These guys go out of their way to set you up right. And they offer Kayaking and Backpacking Clinics during the months. How cool is that!
After all this, we started talking and Jonathan and I are now working together to get his brand out to the public even more. With a new brand image for their web and print marketing scheduled for early 2009 Jon’taar Creative Studios is creating an outdoorsy retail image with stunning photography and graphics that takes them to the next level. Presently working on their e-mail marketing strategies for the holidays and to build on brand awareness. Sending out weekly campaigns to 1000+ recipients. That number continues to grow as their permission based email system gathers information for customers that are interested in their products.
